We really enjoyed your show in Burlington! It may have been my 7th time seeing you live (I am including two of The New Pornographers performances) but it was my 15 year-old kid’s first time and you are one of their favorite musicians! It was AMAZING to enjoy the show together. Thanks for being a bright light and for singing about spiders and birds to help us all feel more grounded.

music is definitely keeping me in a better place in life,

so thank you for that and your writing, which is

like a lullaby-- sometimes sad, sometimes happy.

Thank you for the wonderful show at the State! You and your amazing band gave me a much need lift in these heavy times. Music, Art and Nature...and surrounding myself with people who are kind is what is keeping me going. Your music has done that for so many years. I honestly can't express the full extent of my gratitude for your music. And seeing you live at the State (again), was an elixir for a heavy heart. Please keep coming back to Maine. We truly love you

Thanks Neko. I'm so grateful for your presence and your art.

The whirlpool of despair keeps tugging at me, America, my friends there.

All the deaths and chaos.

I think of my dear Jenny who sits with me and gets me off the dung heap.

Safe travels and keep bringing the joy.

Music is about the only hope i can feel. A recent two weeks long forlorn crater had me unable to physically reach to even listen, though, until, until... the title track of your newest was summoned. Help and hope, and another aim forward.

I love this metaphor of delivering art as filling and refilling nectar for hummingbirds. 💕

First of all, never stop writing, you are great at it. Secondly, that feeling you described of making the crowd feel better and in return the synchronicity of the crowd making you feel better is exactly what I love about live music. Especially in a venue like the State. Plus made me fondly think of Bulrington where my daughter attended college and lived for years. Peace out.

Sunday before Christmas my Lucy Girl —passed.

And Your Voice came over the airwaves to tell Me this “come on sorrow -take your own advice/this thundering & lightening=gets You rain. I’m on a top secret mission a Cousteau expedition to find a Diamond at the bottom of the drain. Mocking bird sings in the middle of the night -all her songs are stolen and she hides-she stole them from the whipperwill and the yellow meadow lark He sings them for You SPECIAL, He knows you are afraid of the dark/come on sorrow, take your own advice /hide under the bed, turn out the lights/=the stars this night in the sky are ringing out —you can almost hear them ringing saying , close your eyes now Kid”

And even scribing your lyrics, I’m singing.

That’s what You DO.

We’re made to feel your intent

THANK YOU!

Jacksonville or bust!

Fantastic advice about avoiding social media and getting news from a trusted, stable friend.

From exile in California, I’m remembering seeing you at the Flynn opening for Mavis Staples, and singing backup too!

Thanks Neko for these honest and uplifting words. Yes we need art and music more than ever. Please consider playing in the DC area or at least Baltimore … locals like me are weary and could use a lift.

I really like your “wet chalk” metaphor. I know that feeling.
