Beautiful as ever. Thanks too for plugging my band, Bland Manscape.

A couple of weeks ago, while I was sitting outside at 5am enjoying a pre-work brew, a beautiful fox trotted out of nearby woodland. We both froze and fixed our gaze for about 30 seconds, before the fox retreated to the woods. Top start to the day.

Neko,

I always loved your drawings on your album art. I assume you did this Vulture…is it a vulture??? The embroidery is 💥💥💥

Take care of yourself, renaissance woman

Hi Neko , have you seen David Attenboroughs doc Wild London? A brilliant and fascinating piece of work.

You sound so busy I wish you could sneak a few days away to green up your soul.

All the best from far away Adelaide.

As a fellow ADHD person I do puzzles when I must listen and focus. Being a boomer who grew up with actual puzzle books and pencils, I still prefer them. So I buy sudoku and code word books. My younger daughter lives with me and she’s on the autistic spectrum; she draws beautifully and likes to do that while focusing. Thank you for sharing your adventures! We love all animals, and your stories about Landlord have been nothing short of fascinating. From the Sonoran desert 🌵

Planking on my reformer and listening to either Lou Reed or Olivia Newton-John.

Your embroidery is stunning! I sometimes take advantage of Teams meetings to switch my camera off and knit. I don’t have ADHD, but I find it almost impossible to pay attention during virtual meetings (this is apparently very common and has to with the fact that people’s micro expressions get lost, which makes it hard for our brains to focus), and knitting helps me listen. But only if it isn’t something complicated.

A buzzard! Saw so many on a Texas drive recently :) Love hearing about the production. Living in London briefly in the oughts was my first experience of the late night/ early morning vixen screech, which is a kinda scary puzzle until you learn what's up! Kinda nice to know they are around in the city, and persist. I hope someone assists Landlord. Enjoyed this dispatch!

When I was in the throes of horrific insomnia in 2020/2021, I turned to embroidery. It was a craft I could do at night, in bed, without a screen or making a mess. I also loved learning a old craft, something my grandmother and her grandmother would do. Altho, I doubt they also made a series of pieces about fat asses. Bet they wish they did tho.

I wonder if you can get, and then toss to the fox/dog, a heartworm chewable (ivermectin is the active ingredient). They're meat flavored, and if they run away without eating it, you can pick it up and save it for the next time you meet.

Agree Odyssey 100 percent. Samantha Morten is so good. “The Return”. Much better movie

Wishing you satisfying, collaborative days in London, you are a marvel. Coming to see the show in October, the only thing that could tempt me away from Autumn in Vermont and the beavers (and other wonderful characters) on the Otter Creek. PS. What helps me focus? A long walk in the woods with my dogs before the task at hand.

I feel so validated in my feelings about The Odyssey now.

And I am so glad to hear from you. It’s been a week of what feels like insurmountable grief. And I’m so happy you’re here.

How you manage to package troubling things with humor is dope. I love your writing (and singing) voice.

Five stars.

You have a lot going on, and it's mind blowing to me that you're also sewing an amazing piece of art! As a photographer, sewing is also becoming my go to because it's so hands on, where photography in my world (commercial and editorial) is so digital. So I'm fascinated by your embroidery process and have so many questions, like, did you draw/design the piece you shared (mind blown more)? But if it's something you are following along (like a paint by number) where does one find something like this?! Thank you for putting all the work in on the musical -- if I lived in the UK I'd be first in line to see it on opening night.

Meant to say that, to make room for Heather's stuff, I've been undoing my years of hoarding, and I've been reading a lot of wonderful books so I can donate them. Wolfe, Le Guin, Butler, Peake, Crowley, Carter, and more. All that very weird, very literary stuff we both love. Finishing Ducornet's The Jade Cabinet on the train now.
