The world always looks nicer from 10000 feet or so. Much lower eliminates so much of the scope; much higher kills detail and looking at just color blotches. I've had to fly some puddle jumpers over my life, and they could be very interesting.
I never thought of glaciers as rivers before seeing these photos. Thanks for the enlightenment!
