Got back 10 days ago from hiking Zion/Bryce Canyon/Capitol Reef NPs in Utah, and the drive via Cedar Breaks Natl Monument included acres of yellow aspens interspersed with pine, fir, and spruce. Perfect timing for the trip!

Aspen firewood has an amazing scent. Kind of fell in love with Flagstaff Arizona hanging around there one week in November. Great Italian restaurant around the corner of the hotel, air perfumed by wood burning, amazing things to go look at between the Utah Border and the rim of the Mogollon Rim.
