Good morning. I’m writing to you from four days ago, which was the first day of tour. I’m in a dark hotel room in Nashville trying to let ManFriendJeff catch up on his sleep. I wake at 5 a.m. these days which I never thought I’d like, but it turns out I
Can't express how excited I am for Friday, 9/2 at The Pabst Theater in Milwaukee! You, your band and the Pabst = the perfect concert experience. Thanks for this blog and all you do to keep us alive and well.
My wife and I saw you at the Vogue in Indianapolis last night. Spectacular. Your voice is stunning live as it is on the records.
We shared a story at the merch table about how I used to drive between Chicago and Atlanta and would see a billboard advertising Middle Cyclone. This was my introduction to your music, and the woman at the table wondered if you knew that it was there. I suppose I am, too, but I mostly wanted to just say how impressed I was with your show.
I'm a musician in town, and I have played a number of venues here that are similar to the Vogue, but it's inspiring to see what you do, because the whole production is seamless in a way that I dream of in my own shows. Congrats to your crew and to the Vogue.
Amazing show in Indianapolis last night! The only way it could have been better is if everyone who talked during your songs had spontaneously combusted. Grrr. Anyway, THANK YOU for somehow playing all my favorites.
I'm so sorry we'll be missing your show at First Avenue in Minneapolis on Sept 1. We had tickets and were really, really looking forward to it, but we won't be able to go. Fortunately, I was able to pass the tickets to friends who I'm sure will enjoy the show immensely.
So excited! Can’t wait to be one of your little ants in Atlanta! 14 days until my autumn of live music starts, with you first up. Pretty pumped by the touring band this year too! 😍
beautifully written! i've often wondered how morning people negotiate a musician's tour schedule. have a great tour!!

Wonderful writing Neko, may your plates spin smoothly and the translucent grey cocoon give birth to a beautiful colourful Monarch of the stage.

Have a great tour, hope to see you next time.
Love right back to you, Neko! And here’s to us early risers, all morphing outta the chrysalises of our bodies at every daybreak ...
Safe travels, rock on!
Kevin
