In the past couple of weeks in the back alleys of West Coast cities I have seen: A rat dancing with a piece of toast; other rats looked on with jealousy. Hey Neko... I wonder if you ever read these comments.. Maybe while sitting on the bus between shows.. I guess you might not have tour busses any more and just fly, who knows. I'm probably the biggest Neko Case music fan there is {at least the among the non invested ones :) }. You could sing the phone book and I'd enjoy it. Through the years the music has really added so much to my already near perfect life. Really thankful to you for that. I also better mention that I think you're nuttier than a fruitcake, LOL, but hey, I guess you have to be a little off to be able to produce all that great music. Gee. Only thing I've ever thought to do while looming over my cars hood is write into a notebook placed against it's surface. Now... maybe if I owned a Bentley...?
I love how observant you are. I wondered where you would go and what you would see in my city, San Diego. I went to the beach after the show and it was pretty great. the sky was black over a lighter-but-still-dark gray sea, the tall cliffs very crumbly looking under those fancy houses.
If you are needing a nature getaway that's close by on Friday, you can check out Powder Valley Nature Reserve. If you're looking for something little more exciting, the Meramec Highland Quarry. Peace and love to you.
