I haven't been through Van Horne in a good 20 years. I was traveling with my sister and her husband on the way to Las Cruces, NM. We stopped there for gas. I looked around as I pumped gas. It was sparse, poorly lit, with a few stray people just lumbering about. Very fancy. Pretty sure it's where they're keeping the zombies penned before the apocalypse.
Over 20 years ago, I stayed in Van Horne Texas. Strange place, strange town -- we were moving and our cats were traveling with us, and one of them followed me down the stairs to let me they really didn't like the place. Door had been shut and locked...go figure.
